Ryan Adams, get in me.

Ryan Adams, you’re so dreamy.

Fuck me up
Steal my records

6. Green Day

What was the first song you hear by number 5?

Jesus Christ

What are your favourite lyrics by number 6?

"Mom and Dad don’t look so hot these days, they’re getting over the hill… I’ll just wait for Mom and Dad to die…"

What is your favourite song by 8?

His cover of “I Was Meant for the Stage”

What impact has number 1 had on your life?

I think she has impaced my life in the best ways; her voice calms me and her lyrics allow me to come to realizations and even epiphanies.

When did you first get into 2?

I was either 13 or 14. My dad left a lot of their cd’s behind and they were rotting in the garage until we moved out of that house and I went through them and immediately fell in love with their sound.

How did you get into 3?

I always knew who Coldplay was, but never got into them. I just thought because they were big on the radio meant there couldn’t be much else to them. Then I was looking up the lyrics to their song, “Sparks,” and happened to read all of the comments people had left about how much Coldplay meant to them - everything changed then I guess.

What is your favourite song by 4?

Hard one. So many. Possibly “God of Wine” or “I Want You”. But there are so many others as well.

How many times have you seen 9 live?

Not yet.

Favourite album by 7?

Turn on the Bright Lights, without a doubt.

What’s your favourite song by 1?

Love, love, love her cover of Led Zeppelin’s, “Since I’ve Been Loving You”.

It’s probably one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard.

How did you become a fan of number 10?

I owe that one to Jack White.

What songs by number 4 do you listen to the least?

The only two people ever associate with the band and think they are their only decent songs - “Jumper” and then whatever that other one is called that’s like super nineties and “doo-doo-doo”-y

Top two favourite songs by 5?

"Soco Amaretto Lime" and "The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot"

Have you seen 10 live?

Have you met 1?

No but I would turn gay on instant.

What’s your favourite album by 4?

Debut, self-titled.

Favourite lyrics of 2?

"Candy Cane girl, don’t you know your name, girl?"

I know that’s stupid, but it was a really crazy moment hearing that song when I first started getting into them; it was like Jack was talking to me. Yet again, yes, I know - stupid.

Which have you known the longest?

Green Day, because my dad was a big fan and I remember being pretty young and knowing the lyrics to “When I Come Around”.

Favourite song by 9?

It’s kinda funny I keep listing only covers, but I really just can’t help it. OKAY?

"Wonderwall". It’s honestly the most haunting and beautiful thing you will ever, ever, ever hear. And I don’t care if it’s in your near or distant future to hear a ghost sing.

"Come pick me up

Take me out

Fuck me up

Steal my records

Screw all my friends

They’re all full of shit

With a smile on your face…

I wish you’d make up my bed

So I could make up my mind

Try it for sleeping instead

'Maybe you'll rest sometime'

I wish I could “

Trust me.

If you like Neil Young, you’d like Ryan Adams.

songs that haunt, leave you feeling empty, and motivating you to search for something (someone) to fill a void you may not even have.

lick those wounds. ryan knows that beauty and pain often go hand-in-hand.
